Toler-Bain Studio

Io LandArch had the opportunity to design a custom art studio for artist Alice Bain-Toler in collaboration with Zero One Ten. The structure maximizes the volume of the space within the context of very specific and restrictive zoning requirements. The concept for the building envelope is a true marriage of architecture and landscape with a green facade, covered in Boston ivy, paired with lots of natural light and soft wood tones for the interior spaces. The studio is an accessory building complete with kitchen, bed and bath. Construction on this project broke ground in late 2023.
