The Corner Plaza
The Corner Plaza is Ogden’s gateway to the Nine Rails Creative District. Positioned at Washington Boulevard and 25th Street, it serves as the information center for the city’s arts and culture attractions. Created in partnership with Sasaki, we also worked with Ogden City Arts to create a dynamic and functional design for this small space.
Integrating an existing kiosk building, the plaza features a major public art installation by New York-based design studio, Hou de Sousa. Inspired by the refraction of light, we applied the concept to the circulation patterns into and through the site to draw people in and then disperse them through the site and into other parts of the creative district.
Planters and a shady bosque create a protected social meeting space immediately in front of the kiosk features a custom announcement wall and an inviting assembly of playful geometric steel benches.
