Powder Ridge

For this custom-built ski residence in Alta, Utah, Io LandArch provided the initial site feasibility study and worked with the architects to develop a site-sensitive solution that adapted to the needs of this particularly challenging site. The landscape flows through the architecture and the residence reaches out into the landscape. The rift between the two major building elements provided an opportunity to integrate a series of corten retaining walls that complete the dialogue between structure and site.
