About Io LandArch:

We’re a small but mighty woman-owned design studio rooted in the Intermountain West. Our work spans landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and small-scale architecture—with a specialty in placemaking, cultural landscapes, outdoor recreation, and sustainable design.

Our guiding principle: professional excellence should support personal fulfillment—not compete with it. We have cultivated a studio culture that values purpose, flexibility, collaboration, and continuous growth.

Learn more about our team here.

  • You are a licensed Landscape Architect with at least 5 years of experience across project coordination, design, documentation, and delivery.
  • You are SITES or LEED AP certified (REQUIRED) and have direct experience applying SITES principles in real-world projects.
  • You are based in Northern Utah, preferably near Salt Lake City, and can attend periodic in-person meetings and site visits.
  • You’re confident leading teams, managing timelines, mentoring younger/non-licensed designers, and holding a strategic project view.
  • You’re fluent in remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, Miro) and great at keeping communication clear and consistent.
  • You are experienced in Vectorworks (or similar CAD/BIM software and can learn quickly).
  • You’re organized, coachable, empathetic, and motivated to grow in a leadership role.

As our Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on delivering high-quality work across a range of civic, planning, and development projects. You’ll help guide projects from concept through construction, ensuring clarity, accountability, and thoughtful collaboration every step of the way.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading project management for select civic, planning, and development projects
  • Overseeing contract administration and construction
  • Tracking timelines, schedules, budgets, and deliverables across all phases
  • Facilitating communication with clients, consultants, and internal team members
  • Reviewing technical drawings, redlines, and documentation to support QA/QC
  • Mentoring junior staff and supporting team growth through collaboration and feedback
  • Working closely with the Principal/CEO to align project goals and maintain quality standards
  • Remote-first with flexibility: Set your own schedule and balance your professional life with family, creativity, or time outdoors. We trust you to manage your time and deliver exceptional work.
  • Purpose-driven projects: You’ll contribute to places that matter—parks, cultural landscapes, historic districts, and regenerative community spaces that enrich people’s lives and restore ecological health.
  • Supportive, woman-led culture: Join a collaborative, tight-knit team led by a female founder who values purpose, mentorship, and personal growth. We’re here to support each other—not compete.
  • Real opportunity to grow: This isn’t a dead-end PM role. You’ll gain meaningful project leadership experience, contribute to impactful work, and have the chance to grow into more responsibility as we scale
  • Licensed Landscape Architect (Utah preferred or able to get reciprocity quickly)
  • SITES AP or LEED AP Certification; SITES project experience (non-negotiable)
  • 5+ years professional experience with increasing responsibility
  • Strong project management, contract administration, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Technical design and documentation experience in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, SketchUp, etc.
  • Based in Northern Utah and available for occasional in-person meetings/site visits
  • Competitive Salary DOE
  • Flexible 30–40 hours/week
  • Remote work with in-person travel/local flexibility
  • Mentorship, leadership coaching, and professional development support
  • A clear, supportive runway for long-term growth and influence
