Things are progressing on phase one of the Pioneer Craft House historic site & landscape remodel. The purpose of this inital phase was to make this historic site, and South Salt Lake City owned campus ADA accessible, while also visually unifying the site.
The new west side concrete walks, and angled ramps are in-place. It definitely looks a bit harsh right now without any plantings to soften the wide sidewalks and architectonic hardscape features (see sketches for proposed during & after views). We’re looking forward to seeing the remainder of the landscape, especially the plants installed next spring. It will feature historic plant pallet, including a dye garden, edible plants, and native Utah plants.
Look for a ribbon cutting for the Pioneer Craft House phase I coming up in early December!
